Game Development,
Because it merges together so many interesting fields so well. It has a ton of physics, a lot of art and design, psychology, philosophy, storytelling, music ...
And it really gives you the possibility to make anything work to your rules. The only limit there is is the limits of logic and your hardware.

    Are you only programming or do you do the whole design stuff as well?

    @Dollique
    I have become kind of fanatic in that regard.. I have set my head on creating this game I envision, and since I have some experience with 3d modeling and Sounddesign, I feel like I have the skill to do it all by myself (it will be in a minimalistic, low-poly style anyways, which will save a lot of time)
    But I also know how much time it takes to create animated 3D models and good quality soundtracks so I am not sure if I will have that time in the future. But I am in my final year of school right now, so there will be a lot of change in the next few months, and even if creating this game will take forever, I will love pursuing this project just for the fun and fascination of it.

    Reminds me of KOTOR 2 and how philosophical it was

    @starrickcrwford
    haha I'm flattered ^^
    Yeah, there are a lot of misconceptions about game development... Many people don't really take it seriously, even though it is a highly creative and challenging workspace. And if the game you made is good, you might even get rich with it :D
    Now you probably should not count on it but if you give up before you have even given it your best, you won't earn anything out of it.
