What's hardcore engineering? Images pop to mind, but not sure what you are aiming at :P

@viking8 I mean I'm not a Software Engineer and I don't know that much about let's say O notation and stuff like that. I will never be a computer researcher y'know

I think hardcore engineering, it's not algorithm optimization, it's testing new grounds, improving as you go, dig into shit you don't know.
A degree will help you a lot, but it still takes guts and, most likely, is no glory.

Loving tech and design is the cornerstone of hardcore engineering :)

Same here! Graphics guy by trade, but love coding and hardware :) Designer by day, coder by night... (So to speak)
