Read an article that said "a successful DDoS attack [costs an organization] about $100,000 for every hour the attack lasts, according to security company Cloudflare"

And while I don't doubt the number, it still should read

"...$100,000 for every hour the attack lasts, according to company selling DDoS protection, Cloudflare"

    I mean it always depends on the company?
    And also the time when the attack is done?

    This sounds like a "we did one statistic some years ago that was severely biased and now we draw senseless conclusions from it"

    @molaram where did I say that? I said "company selling DDoS protection" not "DDoS protection company"

    On the other hand, getting managers to realize that poor IT can result in massive losses is also important for us.

    A lot of costs in it are rarely tracked (tech debt of legacy software) and result in having to deal with some massive legacy application a decade later.
