Who needs proper UI design tools like Figma or XD when you have PowerPoint

(context: I'm not a designer and I needed to prototype a simple UI really fast. It looks great tbh)

PowerPoint is actually very helpful in many cases.

    PP rocks!

I even learnt something useful from web dev for embedded systems, that being wire framing:

    "Wire we doing this shit?"

    Prototype in your head.

Make screens in something shitty like graphicsgale, pixel perfect.

Thumbnail sketches with notes, and arrows linking them and specifying the transition animations, feel, and other details.

Who needs process when you have a giant organic messy ball of mockups and flowcharts?

For everything else steal frequently. When someone says "UI damage like is done with the faded edges in this war of mine." I know immediately what they mean. Or slots based design, e.x. the lady of us, or left 4 dead, I know the controls and layout they're going for.

Good team of scriptwriters and filmmakers do the same in film, communicating ideas by common language formed through reference to shared experiences.
