@Gatgaegent I tried antegros and hated every moment of it, switched to manjaro hated that too, and now on plain old regular arch. Way better than those bug filled wannabe's.

@rsrj hi there... i faced problems with hardware after installing linux ... did your brother face the same problems? I had to remove it and install win 10 ... now its running ok

@codeBoy He first tried Ubuntu 16.04 and faced few problems, but then he started trying other distros and being new to Linux he finally installed Elementary OS. Other than the audio, which is quite low for Dolby(still usable), everything appears to work fine and he's happy to switch to Linux.

Quite a few of the pictures posted here (in regard to laptops) are Lenovo. Is there any reason for that, or is Lenovo that popular?

@skrilltrax now I am on windows 10 ... never tried arch but i am planning to try it soon .... for the laptop..when i first installed ubuntu it had a problem handling the nvidia gpu ... also problems with cooling, the cooling fan was spinning all the time at max speed regardless of temperature!.... when i switched to windows... it detected part of my system that handles temperature and cooling and installed drivers for it so it solved the problem.
