Our university labs still use computers with 512mb ram, celeron processor for programming and networking courses. Even worse some of the mouse/keyboards/monitors not working and we occasionally have to do exam on those machines ...

    @KnightsOfCode So if you mean scratch at scratch.mit.edu, I'm not that sure if Adobe's Flash Player runs with 128 MB... I mean, there also needs to be a web browser and a OS.

    Low amounts of memory and CPU force you to optimize and conserve resources. Both are absolutely important in programming.
