Dear Mongodb, I created the clusters in your service because you created Mongodb. I also subscribed to the "Premium" to get better service.
I get it, my card didn't have enough balance for the last 3 months but you could just convert my account to "Free".
How could you delete the cluster? You morons deleted all the data of my app of 1.5 years. You even deleted all the backups! WTF!

What's the point of buying premium service if that makes you lose the data? Fuck you!

They must have warned you (for at least 3 months).

I wonder why you didn't knew that earlier. They would have definately sent multiple notifications.

    No backup, no sympathy.
A backup on the same service you host your DB doesnt count as a backup

I really don't know in which universe you life...

    A paid service costs.

And there's no transferral of ownership in a service... That would be insane.

You buy a car, car belongs to you when you've paid the price - ok.

But if you pay a provider of a service, you never own the service or - in a cloud service - the data at all.

Everything belongs to MongoDB / the provider, you didn't pay, end of service.

I get it guys, but at least when you're in the free tier, your data don't get deleted. I mean, if paying for a service can get your data deleted which is worse than the free service, why would anybody want to subscribe to their premium service?

They could've just stopped the premium features and continued being free but instead they deleted all my data. How is that justified?
