PyGame has a lot of nice tools. It could do text I think. I think there might be dialog managers for games for PyGame. But I cannot remember.

if you want old school, why not ncurses? Like those terminal roguelikes (like the OG Rogue and more modern NetHack I guess)

@RememberMe I would do it graphically with text as an art style. Then you have options to break the rules and inject overlays and things you just cannot do with text.

Does anyone know of interesting interfaces which can be used for text based adventure python game?
