Why don't they build all-in-one keyboard & computers anymore? 😃

In my experience my computers last a lot longer than my keyboards do. Maybe that is why.

There are some you can order from China. Search K3 Wintel. Cheap, tablet class internals.

Cybernet also has them. Search ZPC-H6. Intel i5, 8Gb ram. Pretty slick.

Originally each computer was a more or less unique design.

Then IBM came with their standard PC format where you could combine parts from different manufacturers and also extend by adding more cards and other components.

This did not fit into a keyboard and cooling later also became a problem

Laptops solved these problems but the solutions cost a lot more money.

To day, smaller components and placing more into software has made it possible again but only a few has picket it up since a small format either has to sacrifice performance or be very noisy due to high speed fans.

...because it's a totally shit idea.
