m12i5058yYes, because you'll never know, having an updated linkedin account could lead you into some new opportunities.
-
Yes helps me keep business contacts and when applying for a job the companies are looking at my LinkedIn and possibly won't search my private Facebook account.
Better first impression. -
LombArd4928yAbsolutely. Google, IBM and Amazon contacted me through it. Though I don't think anyone uses it for social networking.
-
stacked26698yI do, but it's not updated and I don't use it.
LinkedIn used to be nothing more than a source of spam for me. I've been told that things have improved now, but still I don't want to use it.
I keep my online presence on StackOverflow, GitHub and my blog, and serious recruiters seem to have no trouble finding me. -
It's good for networking and proof i contribute to a company instead of being nameless.
-
pesaply6978yIts kinder important just like stackoverflow but I never update it, for years Personal reasons

Eariel19068yMy last three jobs come from LinkedIn. It comes with some noise, like people offering Hibernate/Spring jobs when I only use Java for Android development, but it also has good stuff. Also, I found nice articles there.
-
I do, but I haven't updated it in years. Every job I've gotten has been from outside LinkedIn, with the exception of one recruiter I went forward with on LinkedIn.
-
somebody7318yHave it, don't use it. Serves mostly as backup, if I ever rage quit and need to find some job fast, I'll just change my status there and I beleive that number of offers will even increase so I will have plenty to choose from and some of it might turn out to be interesting.

You mean that HR consultant magnet? Yeah, I guess if it's there it is working
Question to all Developers. Do you still have a LinkedIn account? If so why? If not why not?
