iiii92193y@molaram unless it's a literal skyscraper. You'd have to be an overman to walk it every day and not die of exhaustion.

On saving electricity: At least in Germany that's a cost the tenants have to pay anyway (which can be a lot in a small house and sucks doubly so if you live on the ground floor.

stop68673y@molaram in the company im currently working at, there are no stairs that i can take. Its also impossible to open the doors of one lift for multiple floors. It takes the people only from one floor to another without any stop.

No electricity will be saved because there’s a constant amount of energy required to lift people. Either there’s a lower output over a longer interval or a higher output over a shorter one
Off Topic Rant: so the condo I'm currently renting in have 2 elevators but only 1 is functioning. They turned off the other elevator so that they can save some electric bill. I doubt it is being fixed because it is still not working up to this day. Now there's a waiting time for the elevator because only 1 of them is working. Rathole and shithole Asian country I'm in.
