Bubbles66123y@iiii I mean normally not really but Go isn’t used a whole lot so having twitch as one of its bullet points is great. I can’t think of too many projects made with Go aside from Docker and Kubernetes so it’s just nice to see that another company that isn’t google also supports using Go

Bubbles66123y@iiii yeah but I feel like when people are looking at languages to use for projects or new languages to learn, it gives them more confidence if they know there have been great and successful products made with that language
But that’s just my view of it -
@Bubbles We use it for cross-platform monitoring software and for the automation of Windows updates.

I don’t think anyone was nearly as happy as I was to find out Twitch’s source code got leaked and that they use GO.
Makes me glad to see Go used by another big company for a big application like twitch where performance is really important.
