Man, it's hard getting a job in a field you have little to no experience in.. in my case: front-end.

I hate back-end..

I prefer backend, but I'm fully capable of doing frontend.

I'm better at frontend than 90% of the devs I work with, yet they ignore my input.

They don't even know how to use attribute or child selectors properly.

    And they always use important

@sariel They don't know the bare basics huh..

@CaptainRant instead of making attribute or child selectors they make class or hard ID selectors instead.

I have personally seen the same ID used on the same page over 100 times.

I wanted to wash my eyes out with bleach.

@sariel It sounds to me that they don't properly know CSS and they just use what they know..

It's rather depressing to me that while I'm out here trying to perfect my front-end skills, there are people like that working in the field..

@CaptainRant I've actually thought about starting a "blog" on my portfolio site to communicate not only proper technical execution, but also to provide a way to show my technical understanding to potential employers.

I have to admit that in the past I did very bad things in front end.
But I also admit it was never my passion, I’ve never been good at it but I was forced to do it.
But the worst part was that I never had the time to learn it properly, I was literally thrown into frontend.
