All Tech meetings: I think over 50% of people open the video and keep it on mute, 45% use it as background noise while they code, and maybe 5% of people actually pay attention.

    So... Stand up meetings with 5 people... At any one time one person is a quarter paying attention?

    Sounds about right.

    I can’t code when people are talking.
    But I can play games! So really they’re just paying me to play Terraria while they blah blah blah.

    I’d skip the meetings and work instead if I was allowed or could get away with it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    My current tech online meetings: I'm the main presenter with customer tech departments on the other side. For hours, several consecutive days.

    My measures have shifted from "fuck, a call" to "yeah it's six hours calls, but ONLY two days."

    @Root Got a full set of every armor, looking for mods.

    @djsumdog every week I have a demo meeting. So far they just keep bashing a specific team which is stupid enough to present unfinished stuff instead of just saying: “no features ready yet”.
    So it’s basically a c-levels and managers royal rumble for 40 mins followed by like 10mins of presentation

    @piratefox I lost all of my characters and worlds somehow, despite “saving them to the cloud.”

    But that’s okay, I get to start over.

    @Root starting again terraria is never bad, just an excuse to try a different class!

    @piratefox I keep promising myself I will, but I always find myself going back to mage and summoner.

    @Root I have to admit ranger can surprise you, just if you play expert I suggest getting fishron’s bow before attempting skeletron prime… that is the only -damage may be too low- moment

    @piratefox I didn’t know ranger could work. I might try it :)
