after few months of working in the company, I was offered to trade off my weekends in exchange for increase of salary. I said hell no, I would go crazy.

winter holidays we had removed... thankfully for money increase.

all next holidays were often just removed... without money increase.

next week is going to be official week of holidays. all in our country are going to have paid days off / vacation. It was declared by our president. 2 days of holidays were extended to 5 due to COVID break.

I wonder, how hard it would be for us to get those days as vacation %
we would have to ask for VACATION days in OFFICIAL HOLIDAY DAYS!. Hell, we had never had real vacation yet, and we are just wishing to have official holiday days remaining being holidays.

Urgh. I understand that I get pretty good salary for my first work, but still wishing quite a lot for holidays, should I press for it? *sigh*

on another hand I don't really want salary decrease, which can come if I would press for it *sad face*.

    Sounds bad.

Vacation is a good way to clear the head and get back with fresh ideas.

I would trade 10% of my salary for 10% extra holidays.

Pretty sure this is illegal in a lot of countries. You might want to check what your rights are and weigh up having life vs loosing your job (but possibily being able to sue this crap out of them).

yeah no, keep your days off and vacations... you can't put a price on those...

If it's a temporary thing like "only this weekend" and you have the spare energy and time, why not... but if this is a permanent thing, or you're just not feeling it and really feel like you'd rather get a day off... then get the day off, the money is not worth it

Update: I traded off my holidays in exchange for spending time at home while I learn necessary new stuff to do after the holidays.

Since technically I would have done it anyway, I lost nothing. ;b
