    He might be interested in the requirement analysis part of it, or he enjoys managing databases. That people is usually less nerdy than IT guys/gals and hands-on coders... But they still need to study most of the same subjects than us. There is a lot of stuff you can do in this industry.

    @Eariel No. I think he is only interested in cars.

    It's a required core course for the degree?

    It was for my business degree... Of course for me, it was like a joke.

    I still remember for finals, I was the first one to finish. I think we had an hour, I was done in 20mins and just left.

    @billgates No no...
    I am at a voluntary school.

    Let me try to explain (I'm not that good at english...) : After 8 years of “normal“ school in Austria, you can either stay in “normal“ school or you can go to a optional (f.e.) technical school. So he is a voluntary student here.

    @Skayo I believe technical college is the term for that. At least our english teacher told us that(the only thing I learned from this incompetent excuse of a teacher).

    And in my class we also had guys like that. One of them simply memorized everything without actually understanding it, so when he was asked something by a teacher he'd just repeat the text in the book word by word...

    @matsaki95 In Austria it has almost all subjects of a normal high school but additionally there's IT stuff, all kinds of electronics, technical labs and more. So it's usually harder and takes one year longer.

    You mean a Fachhochschule? I did a semester abroad at FH St. Pölten. The difference in levels is amazing! I learnt so much more there than here in England. This goddamn English uni is at such a low level I cannot comprehend... I mean that in terms of the rate of teaching and the technologies which we're taught.

    @Saborknight Yup, Fachhochschule. More precisely: Höhere Technische Lehranstalt (HTL).

    Awesome. That semester abroad was the best time I had in education. So much TECHNOLOGY to mess around with!

    @Jop- Yes that is possible...

    I had a temporary project manager like this. At first he would say that he couldn't understand why we like programming, then he said that he literally gets mad mad at developers because they're doing something he'll never understand, and that we made so much money doing it.

    He was a terrible project manager and a jerk to us
