We should find a way to replace passwords: any password manager which I tried is inaccurate in identifying login forms and is too hard to use for non technical people older than 40 and convince people to not use some stupid name + birth year combination as their passwords is a frustrating uphill battle.

Passwords based upon sounds/words we make in the bedroom would be more secure. But for heavens sake, don't use your safeword!

@Demolishun personally, when I don’t have a password generator available I use random combinations of blasphemies

TBH Apple does a fantastic job with this, system wide and device wide. Effortless.

Isn't that the whole point to OTP and hardware based tokens?

Why do you need password manager ?

BS password for forums/devrant/other bs sites
a "almost good" passwors for sites you actually like
a very strong password for anything important (Bak/utility/bills).

@NoToJavaScript I cannot remember a "very strong password" each time the password for something important (work/banking/taxes...) expires and needs to be changed

@helloworld honestly for an over 40 even iCloud keychain can be a struggle, it works decently but half of times fails to auto-fill and requires manual copy/pasting of credentials and that's confusing for many of them

What about a super easy password but with 2FA ;)

@sariel yeah but sadly most are slow in adopting them or as it happens in Italian public administration websites you can use it but you still need to renew your password each 90 days

@webketje where it's available I use a similar strategy but on some annoying sites you are forced to use 2FA and to have a password with many bullshit criteria which have to be replaced each 60/90 days

@DEVil666 Touch id on keyboard never fails, never had an issue with it ever. Works like a dream.

The issue is not with the manager but with all those fuckers who do not use standard fields for logins and passwords and prefer inventing an upsidedown square-wheeled bicycle which does not even work as intended

Get a arduino mini with the chip to emulate a keyboard /mouse.
Buy / make a script keyboard.
Predefine as many passwords as your macro keyboard as keys.
Remember that keyloggers can still capture said passwords and trow everything in the trash with frustration.
