Bro it can't be so hard to find someone that:

    On the other hand, many companies seem to act as if they don't really care about good work. They need devs to code some silly stuff they could have achieved by buying a low-code tool and employing editors, but what they really want are team members that join at least one meeting every day and say how much they love their silly company culture.

    and if you don't find a "bro" who does his work, why not assign the job to a competent sister instead?

    @fraktalisman Bruh I said someone, can be anyone. I also call bro gentlemen and ladies indiscriminately, but that's another story.

    Okay bro. Sorry, I'm just a continental boomer who is also still irritated by the Americans saying "guys" and "folks", which is another other story.

    @fraktalisman Same reaction :P
    Maybe not starting a sentence with 'Bro' will help in finding the correct person for the job 😄

    Must be a culture thing

    It is so hard to get a company to:

    a) define long term vision, and short term goals
    b) prepare work granularly and in detail
    c) communicate clearly
    d) respect focus time and sprints
    e) give technical debt reasonable priority

    Companies are mostly shit. Why would anyone genuinely want to do good work for them?

    @ars1
    Good devs don't like doing sloppy work. So obviously they want to do good work. The company is just in the mix because devs also need food and a warm place to code and sleep...

    I like to do sloppy work sometimes.
    Depends on what someone defines as sloppy, but I would never strive for perfection as an end in itself.
