Vaux is an awesome extension that helps you group tabs and close the window so you can retrieve it by name later.

If you can't see icons, just switch between tabs by using Ctrl + pageup/pagedown.
Now go be more productive, no need to thank me.

You can quickly select tabs with shift & ctrl as well, and throw them all into a temporary bookmark group.

That way you can easily store/restore "sessions", without having a cluttered tab bar and without keeping everything in memory.
