@ars1 By most standards, the job is actually quite good. Pay is nothing to complain about and it has benefits when so many jobs do not. The team is friendly and agreeable on most fronts.
I’m just feeling burned out on the whole development career thing in general. It just feels pointless and useless, churning out code and websites and not being connected to or having a stake in any of the outcomes aside from a performance review every quarter. Guess it’s the entrepreneur in me not seeing the personal fulfillment value in working for others. -
Also, I’m perpetually behind on a lot of coding skills and always trying to catch up and overtake my own incompetence and inherent slowness at tasks that other people are naturally fast at performing. So there’s that.

Is it a bad sign when you sit in your car for as long as possible before going into your office building? Asking for a friend.
