When a senior asks me, the guy who started 4 months ago about documentation on something that they’ve been using for several years. Haha, yeah bro, wouldn’t all of our job be a lot easier? I’ve been going down entire rabbit hole networks trying to find credentials and API tokens for the last month because there was no documentation 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Not sure what is best at this point :
    * having no documentation
    * finding 3-4 different documentations about the same thing but not with the same content

    @Grumm You too? 😅

    @Grumm even the docs we do have read like high school essays that are trying to maximise the word count with the least amount of information 😞

    @620hun We have documentations from year 2001... About stuff that has changed over the years but no updated docs :/
    Always nice to see screenshots of windows 95 and xp in the docs too...

    One of my recent clients wanted to make sure that we completely understood their data before we did any work but refused to tell us anything about their data. We've been digging around for over 2 months now trying to piece together their systems.

    They even created a paradox for us. One system was created by another third party but we weren't allowed to know who the third party was because we didn't have an NDA with said third party. Sooo, how do we talk to them?
