donuts236728y@aaxa is that ISO? i was actually curious what the rest of the world uses for logging... so you guys dont use YYYY/DD/MM?
-
donuts236728y@Krokoklemme as I've said before, Americans like to feel special, need to be different from the rest of the world
-
@billgates yeah, that's also the reason why they're still using imperial measurements
-
Flygger19798yAnd what's with the slashes? They easily mess things up when used in file naming; yyyy-mm-dd is ISO and just works! :)
Also, mandatory xkcd reference: https://m.xkcd.com/1179/ -
@Krokoklemme I work with a bunch of Americans as a consultant so I have had to be all diplomatic about that date format for a number of years. Your comment brought me a laughter that jiggled my fat little tits. Thank you kind sir.

aaxa22218y@billgates I don't know actually.
We use DD/MM/YYYY in Denmark or the same but with dashes -
I normally write the date in Japanese. Faster than An other format :D
Not sure why Americans had to change the format. They definitely need to feel special, @billgates -

I feel we scandinavians win over americans due to them and their imperial system. If america wants to set an ISO standard they can fuck off!

Just noticed the date format mm/dd/yy. Can we switch (or give an option to switch) to a superior to format like dd.mm.yy or iso 8601
