Why do people obsess over Rust for some reason ? Is there any real-world reason to do so ? Can anyone enlighten me please ?

Memory safety (tm)

Because chrome-zinc plated aluminium still didn't do the job.

Because Fortnite has bad building mechanics

There are many real-world reasons why Rust can be considered great. One close to my interests right now is using it with AWS Lambda as it’s equally performant and environmentally friendly as C but just a much more enjoyable write + memory safe.

Mostly memory safety and speed.

But the pushback for me is it's syntax
