I wrote the algorithm which does this :) very happy with the outcome

I think my brain is playing tricks on me. I actually saw colour in the first photo (aside from the ocean) until you pointed out it was greyscale 🤔

Nice one. Does it work by physical boundaries of ocean part, or does it determine the untouched part by color?

At first I thought that this image is 3d modeled using some crazy leaf generating algorithm and sea texture shader

@codetinkery It seems we've eaten the same kind of mushroom, because I saw colour too. How weird.

Works the other way round too: when I was visiting the former Eastern Bloc in the 90's, where everything man made was greyish, I started perceiving grass and trees as being grey as well.

The image isn't completely greyscale....it still.has color ;)

@AlgoRythm Well the Leaves and the Wood...it's just desaturated... not completely greyscale :)

@SHA-256 Not destarurated, just untouched, because they were close enough to the green of the ocean to be exempt from grayscaling. There are some streaks of wood that were also not grayscaled.
