I might sound ridiculous but yeah, I am switching from C++ to java.
reason: I am bored sticking to a single language for 4 years.
Why not python?
reason: I use it every second day at my work.
Why this(java) shit? There are tons of other languages out there.

    Hating a language is pointless.

    Every language has downsides. Yes. Even Rust or whatever language you prefer.

    Stop being nitpicky.

    *Exemption is JavaScript, cause that is an abomination.

    @Hazarth I am well versed with both C++ and java, but there's truly a sense of pleasure I get while coding in Java. Probably, because I don't have to worry about memory leaks.

    You might argue using smart pointers to avoid memory leaks, but that makes writing C++ a lot verbose.
