When your partner rolls over in their sleep and manages to smack you in the face… not the best way to wake up.

Once in the REM phase I was dreaming I'm being attacked by alligators, punching and kicking them in panick as if my life depended on it.

Turns out I was not only dreaming those kicks and punches. My spouse then found out what it'd feel for an alligator to attack me :/

This post stopped being relatable for me at “partner” 😔

@netikras That reminds me of the time my husband had a dream that he needed to vaccinate dolphins and he was in the middle of doing that when a snake snuck up on him, so he reached out and punched it it in the face.

Only he wasn’t paralyzed in his sleep and he actually punched me solidly in the middle of the back.

    Worst. Morning. Ever.

For some reason I cannot stop giggling at your story :D

    @AmyShackles

Basically this whole post is which is why we opted for a two-state system, like east/west Germany in the 80s or the Koreas, with a big arm-length of demilitarized zone in the middle.

For sex we usually meet up in Switzerland, a.k.a the couch.

Only drawback is that the beautiful Swiss meadows can not be machine-washed, and the UN fees for dry-cleaning are very high.

I was having a nice snooze, leaning back in my chair, and my cat comes along and decided right then was a good time to attack papers on the desk and push them into my lap and generally making a huge ruckus for no reason (bowl full), she just wanted to wake me up.

Once I woke up giving a punch to the wall because of a nightmare. After that my roommate became very respectful of my spaces.

And it was very painful😭 too: solid European brick wall not those “cardboard” things I see in US home renovation YouTube videos

@rov3rand0m RIP your knuckles. Did you at least form a proper fist in your sleep?
  • 1
@AmyShackles yes it was a proper punch. That’s why my roommate started being very respectful

Not hurting anyone, but tossing and turning all night long in a bad dream.

I once dreamt through managing a full hostage situation in a bank / security building with thug employees and drugs and what not.
Dang I tell you that was stressing as hell.
And then my thugs thought it'd be nice to have their own mind,
aside from the police and swat teams.
That was quite something to juggle.

After all that quite exciting imagined "experience", I was narked for a week straight.

    So refreshing that little nap.

@scor Man, I hate when I feel like I’m more tired after a sleep than before the sleep because the dream I’m having is draining in a whole different way
