Astatos2668ySry to tell you, but sometimes, a large framework is either not useful or not necessary.
-
dots1348yIf you're using a rare programming language you have no other choice than do most parts you need by yourself.
For example smalltalk 😉🙃 -
@dots Smalltalk got shut down over 30 years ago, I don't think people are still using it. And if they do: my dearest condolences, it's an awful language
-
Just another case of Big Framework propaganda, keeping you all under control! On a more serious note, I've been digging ReactJS lately.
-
dots1348y@Krokoklemme some parts are complicated yes, but never experienced such a nice debugging and it's the base of real OOP nonetheless.
-
@dots to be honest: I was intrigued to try it out myself too, but I can't seem to find the tools for the development and also it just has too many quirks for me (e.g not even following basic mathematical rules)
-
tizo5658yI don't think reinventing the wheel is good but I think all third party libraries and frameworks should be weighed against the projects needs. If you only need a small part of a framework or library then maybe rolling your own targeted version is a better option.
