    Actually comes from the name of a mathematician but I like your etymology better.

    I remembered al-khowarizmi but I didn't want to miss inform you all so I didn't mention it. We did it in high school btw.

    You had it wrong with doulia and douleia. It's the other way around. Except if you wanna make a point.
