I hate seeing Bootstrap under "Required skills" for the front end jobs.
Why? Why is it REQUIRED? Why not "Bootstrap is a plus"?
I know HTML,CSS and JS well enough to be able to do anything without a framework.
I know it might be faster, but that's only is you want similar looking websites.
I'm sorry Bootstrap, it's not you, I'm just not ready to make a commitment yet.

Yes, you are right. Bootstrap should have been under (+) and not required. Fuck them!

Unfortunately job descriptions are written by managers and not by devs

@Greggergalactic they also use bootstrap script there (or something else that relies on jQuery) so I couldn't do the tutorial in my angular2 environment..

Only if you want similar looking websites? That is a joke, right?? If you know CSS really well you know you can implement almost any design on top of bootstrap to create websites that do not look similar in any way at all.

When bootstrap based websites look similar because of the 'standard bootstap' look that is due to poor graphics design. Or someone not skilles enough to properly implement the design.

Yes, you can do it all by yourself without bootstrap but a major advantage of using bootstrap is that you have a consistent framework to build responsive web apps on and once you know bootstrap well you can build them very fast.

@Greggergalactic ok, that's actually a fair point, didn't consider that.

@CodeMasterAlex fair enough, that might've been just me holding a grudge.
