    I personally use and love KDE but I would like to hear other opinions.

    i3wm ftw. Used to use KDE but honestly once you get used to a tiling Wm you won't go back :D

    @brukernavn32 I only dislike i3wm when giving presentations because it seems to confuse people so then I use gnome

    @brukernavn32 tiling desktops were not made for me. I prefer to have movable overlapping windows, a start menu / application launcher and a good looking ui and good ux.

    I used LXDE for a while its pretty fast and smooth even on a potato

    XFCE is always the safe choice but Gnome 3 would be awesome next year with all those Ubuntu developers coming in

    I started using i3wm a week ago, so far I really like it.

    cinnamon, but it is a dangerous game with any driver update. im really scared of its fallback mode

    Pantheon DE - like gnome only more lightweight and pretty without much tampering.

    Tried i3-gaps but due to lack of time I decided to lay off conquering the learning curve until I have time to rice it properly :D
