College is great, but there are just so many classes where I feel like I'm wasting my time

I had the same experience. I did an Electrical engineering degree, so most stuff is not directly useful for my job as back end dev. However, uni was a blast and I do miss the fun days, so enjoy it.

Problem is, you usually need a college degree to understand why you need many of the classes required for said degree.
Try doing the Apple Flip: "Ask not what this tech can do for you, but what can you do with this tech!".

If you only want training in a specific technical field, then go to a trade school or one of those tech boot camp style places. The purpose of a liberal arts degree is to give you a well-rounded education. If you go into college expecting it to be trade school, then you're going to be disappointed.
