JTBringe6098y"I think it's great. I masturbate at work on a daily basis, and therefore need a fast Internet connection and a steady supply of new content. I will also need a phone and a tablet, as you never know when the need arises."

"I mean I can open a studio in my cubicle itself, I will just need to make some room for a big couch and the funding from you guys"
-
"...I think the better alternative would be getting a girlfriend. Waaay better."
-
@spaghettiHell yeah. I worked for the company that was owned by the guy who was portrayed in the movie "the middle men". There was a ton of porn hosted in that data center.
-
@JTBringe lol it was funny, that company hosted one of the largest camgirl websites which as an aside moved some crazy amount of data (like petabytes a month or something). Anyway, it was very common for people to just leave one monitor with that site on all night at work to "make sure it wasn't down".
-
@calmyourtities you'd think that, but when you're hosting lots of porn you will see way more of it than you ever wanted to. Some of is eye opening to say the least even though I wouldn't consider myself a prude.
-
@calmyourtities nah it was just a data center by appearance. You'd never know what was there from the job ad or website. Either way it was one of the most fun jobs I've ever had. Extremely laid back.
-
I had a legitimate reasons to surf porn sites all day in a big corporation. gets very boring very fast, if it is the job.
-
@gedankennebel yeah. It was a sys admin / Dev ops role primarily working on Linux. The data center hosted anything else (as in lots of Minecraft servers and web sites and shared hosting) as well. There just happened to be a ton of porn hosted there as well.
It is a technically interesting issue as well because file sizes and storage arrays are so huge for that industry. It's something I never really thought about before until I had to suppose some of their storage appliances and networks. It was cool though. -
@Cyanite lol yeah there are far sleezier things going on at that company but for the most part the data center was where we watched Netflix, ate free food and fixed servers all night.
