sariel84473yYes, but as someone once told me; "you don't need to always be the first to market, you just need to be the best in the market."
And it made me think about MySpace and Facebook. -
Actually I got demotivated before that point.
Case from last week :
Background, I'm playing a very old browser game called OGame. Nothing fancy but it's a great way to take 10-15 minutes break during working day and I find it fun.
There is "Expeditions" options where you can find something, or beening attacked (losing your ships) or even whole expedition flotte can be lost or destroyed
To track rentabiliuty, I made a quick Excel.
Works great.
Idea : Hey I should build a small webapp, just for me ! Let's go with client side blazor + ef core + .net 6
Me : c reates a new blazor project from template.
API name is a text, no API proxu generator.
Me : Fuck, I need to first resolve that ! No way I'll write API names as a string !
And motivation went to die -
I get demotivated when I think how much time it will take and how little spare time I actually have to do it.

When you think about an app idea that you could potentially build all on your own, Do you get demotivated when you find out that about 15-20 apps are on the market doing the same thing ?
