When you start a job and they tell you to put your nice laptop away, because you'll have to work on a company provided laptop running Windows 7 in a constricted environment on a project using Svn. And to top it off they tell you to trade in your IntelliJ for NetBeans.

Did I just travel back in time?

Be happy you are allowed to use netbeans.
We have to use eclipse with no add-ons.

I'd happily trade IntelliJ for Netbeans!

@linuxxx I respect that. Everyone should be allowed to use the tools he/she works in best.

Same shit happened to me also! i had to beg to get a used laptop with pre-configured win10, bacause i did not want to install the "vpn" software called Fortyclient on my personal macbook. that "vpn" software is endpoint bullshit that tracks your every move. im considering quitting soon...

Ouch. I hope they pay enough to justify this.
