Android Nougat's easter egg is cool. Not because of the result but your real time involvement.

    I want to root my phone and move over to Nougat.

    Is it worth it if I have a Doogee X5 Max Pro with Marshmallow on it?

    @SIMMORSAL On this screen edit quick settings and you will see something new there.

    @gauravgoyal i dont really understand?!

    @BlueNutterfly you don't need to root your phone. Just google this: "<your-phone-name-and-model> xda". You will see the links to xda-forums website, and in it all you need to do must be explained (though you'll have to look around a little bit).

    And if your phone is from an unknown brand, chances are that no modder has ported android 7 for your phone. But you can still try googling "android 7 for <your-phone>"

    If you want to flash a ROM you will need to be rooted

    @eeeddr only things you need for flashing a rom is an unlocked boot loader, and a custom recovery.

    Rooting is a rom specific thing, and by that i mean when you root your phone, you make changes in the rom level. But when you want to flash a new rom, you will go to recovery (or fastboot) which is completely out of the boundaries of the rom. And so it does not matter if you phone is rooted.
