Boss just phoned me and told me of his great app idea. Says he wants the idea done and implemented by tomorrow 8AM. Meaning I have 8 hours to plan a project, design the app, and implement it.

Feel hopeless and powerless. It's near impossible to do unless I take a drive to the office and import all the data (it needs to connect to their shitty AS/400 DB to pull data and convert it, then import it).

Add to that that it was assigned to no one else, so everyone else has just told me "good luck, I'm not helping you".

Times like this I wish there was some Form of fairness, but there never is.

Oh well, I'll see what I can have done.

I started at the company when I was fresh out of school, so they got me good. I query my roles and responsibilities often, but they refuse to give it to me.

Really trying to find another job, but the market is harsh.

Network tech makes my life hell. Has a diginet line to head office, 128k. Now I need to pull a db from that. Refuses to make a VPN. Fuck that.

Well, I didn't get fired. Got shat out, but got a bit of a better understanding of the time frame.
