has anyone used latest google pixel phones (5/6/7 etc) ? are there camera/video quality comparable to iPhone?
i am thinking of buying a new phone. i recently saw the various live photo/cinimetic/other features of iPhone's camera, and i became an instant fan of it. i personally am not a big photogenic person, but the quality of apple is worth on trips and events.

but i everything else about ios shitty and miles behind android. so want some good camera phone in android.

PS : no bloatware phones like xiaomi or oppo

ahh.. i think the Samsung s22 or s22 ultra might be on the same camera level.
And from the experience pixels are bloated with google spying software if you dont plan to root it anyways

The camera on my Pixel 6 Pro seems to be pretty great, but I don't take very many pictures anyway. According to the reviews I've read, the Pixel camera is slightly better than the iPhone, but the Galaxy's camera is the best of them all.

@joewilliams007 if u call pixel bloated...

    Wtf is Samsung then?

    Morbidly obese bloated?

@IntrusionCM okay granted. But you can just use ADB.
And i think one ui is pretty clean and feature rich

    I'd get myself a Pixel 4 again.
Might even buy one as soon as there is financial liberty to it.
Could not imagine myself going back to fingerprint sensors.

@joewilliams007 I usually use debloated ROMs and cheap smartphones...

It's amazing what you can get for 200 bucks imho.

Plus for me a smartphone is a "tool"… not a fancy pants penis enlargement.

So for 200 bucks I get sth decent - if it breaks 2 years later, I don't care.

I have a very very very strong distaste for Samsung - I must admit… sorry if my comment came on too strong.

But Samsung... Is in my opinion the worst - not necessarily technology wise, rather quality wise. Stuff breaks, is bloated and I think Samsung was one of the first to admit they integrated spyware in every product, ranging from smart tv to phone.

@IntrusionCM yes yes.. I dont only use my phone as a tool. But what ive done on my samsung devices is

    - no google account
    - no sasmung customization account
    - no playstore
    - no google play services
    - all bixby stuff etc uninstalled via adb
    - most apps not allowed in background
    - no ig tiktok facebook

so much to say. I like Samsung hardware and some software like one ui and Samsung notes is great.

And some months ago i read some of samsung pricacy stuff and was pretty shocked. For me i have opted out the optimal amount and still enjoy the Hardware

    @joewilliams007 Good way :thumbs up:

My comment was btw not to you specifically. Tired.

I just muse myself to death when people explain to me that they buy a phone every year for 600 bucks plus...

And this thread immediately woke up the memories of those people.

Even worse when the same people complain every day that they don't earn enough money 🤬

But my phone has 24 MP Quadro camera with bla blub peep...

Yeah. And one scratch and it lost all it's value 🤣

@IntrusionCM yea.. i have a samsung a52 i think around 300$.. it falls down everyday and i use it without a case or display protector. Its plastic back doesnt feel good but doesnt break and i dont care about its minor scratches in screen when in sun.

am glad i dont have to fear about a brokwn back glass haha
