    Well dc/bc is pretty much standard otherwise. More so than python.

    We used to use python to do some calculations for our physics lab report. You know. A lot of calculation all using the same formula. Just implement the function for it and you are done.

    This happened to me on ubuntu mate. There was no application named 'calc'. So i had to use python. Later found out the calculator app was named 'gcalc' 😑

    Btw, if you are using OS X, you can do calculations from Spotlight (Command + space)
