I consulted on a project for 9 months where the catchphrase was "it is what it is". There were so many problems with what existed and what had been hastily implemented as fixes where it wasn't what was needed but "it is what it is" meant good enough

Been saying this a lot too. Maybe I have given up on it being any better.
