As we’re moving into summer, I can’t help but fall into that “shit I hate this” mentality again. I’m a naturally sweaty person, but even on the edges of summer I feel like my skin has a layer of moist just… sitting there. My sleep is shit, I’m irritated and I never know what to wear to feel comfortable. Just a full season of discomfort. Wish I could just WFH to create a somewhat comfortable environment in summer.

    @ForeverJunior this past summer was actually the worst I’ve know in terms of heat and lack of rain (critical droughts).
    What I do miss is how things are so much more chilled and relaxed a work (probably because we’re all so freakin’ hot and sluggish 😆)

    @AndroidJester you must be from somewhere where the climate tends to be hot as hell, because I start sweating around 20°C

    @black-kite we’ve been pretty lucky with our dam levels since our last drought, but we’ll see how our summer pans out this year. I think we had a rather dry winter so levels might dip low again. Hopefully you have a wet winter tho!

    @AndroidJester I have no idea how you do that, honestly. Are you from the middle east or just close to the equator? I know those temps are pretty standard in the middle east and the people living there are hardcore when it comes to heat

    I would die probably in 40 degrees celsius.... 30 degrees celsius is already very hard on my body, not really able to work, just existing is hard.

    But 40 degrees? For multiple days.... Hell no.

    In Germany the weather this year can be described as... Well.... Whatever entity made the weather was on drugs.

    25 degrees Celsius outside, half a day later hailstorm, then half a day later end of world rain, then 30 degrees celsius.

    @IntrusionCM humidity makes a huge difference

    @electrineer second this. Humidity makes everything worse

    @ForeverJunior

    I feel that I start sweating if we have 15 degrees Celsius outside

    It's easier when it is cold. You can wear warmer clothes and all that shit, but if it's hot and you don't own an AC you are fucked

    @IntrusionCM

    Yeah German wheather was totally on drugs, but also the last years every summer was hotter than the summer before

    @jackpearce I prefer being “synthetically warm” over “synthetically cold” if that makes sense? But pretty much what you said yeah, you can wear warm clothes and grab a blanket when it’s cold but you’re screwed without an AC in warm weather
