I got a bunch of newbies deploying to production this week. Should be fun watching everything BURN!

(I am on standby)

Can't you just level-gate the production instances so the noobs don't annoy the hell out of the pros?

I'm working for a client who has a two week moratorium starting today for 2 weeks. Development can still happen but no deployments to prod are allowed. Seeing as the only testing that is done outside of prod is syntax checking, there is going to be a flood gate of untested SQL.

The plan is to deploy everything developed during the moratorium on the first day that it ends with one deployment. I'm 100% sure that everything will be completely fine and that all issues will be caught or easily resolvable with lots of things changing and even note people making those changes.

How to learn the SQL for marketing automation?

@Oktokolo Aha! A mystery must be solved before the ”deploy to production” is even possible!

The create merge request conundrum making it impossible to even coming close to a merge! A higher level of sentience is needed. You shall not pass!

@sideshowbob76 More like a simple level requirement: "Only devops elders are allowed to touch production".
