I just thought of something. People get butt-hurt when people tell the truth, which is ironically kinda what happened to me. But I’m not mad, I understand lol. Anyways, people always want you to tell the truth, but when you do, they don’t and can’t always accept it. If there were a day where people always told the truth, who knows what would happen, but it wouldn’t be good. But at the same time, people are always holding back their opinions for what? No one’s forcing you, and you don’t really have to. If you see this and there’s something you want to say, to anyone or about anything, even yourself, just go ahead and say it.

    Are we allowed to tell the truth in the comments this time even if it's negative

    most people SAY they want the truth.

    but what most want is have their opinions validated while BELIEVING it's the truth.

    i tend to cut those people out of my life, with no regrets. anything less than 100% truth is 100% wasted lifetime.

    @tosensei True. But if the truth were the best thing for everyone, there wouldn’t be so many liars, would there?

    People assume truth is negative but truth is not that way. It could be negative but it could be positive too. It all depends on where the person who is judging if something is good or bad is coming from. All truth is like this, relative and always with opposites. You can at best say that which is only half true or true within context. Beyond that you get into scopes of absolutes where you'd have to become it to understand it (but understanding by identity rather than regular intellectual knowing).

    @arcadesdude Yes, I agree.😌

    As a person who tries to tell the truth at all times, I can say sometimes it isn’t that easy, but for the most part, it’s fine.🤷

    That's my main problem with work. The clients don't usually take in to truth that well.

    (And with everywhere else too. I'm ASD person sooo the cold blade of truth is what I use.)

    If you let me write my answer in peace, you'll get the truth in prettier wordings.

    @WhoAmIAgain the truth is the best thing for "all of us". but lying can provide benefits to the _individual_ - while making the metaphorical cake smaller, they cheat themselves a larger slice.

    also: your argument is based on the premise that all human beings are capable and willing of rational thought.

    but sadly, most are idiots.

    @WhoAmIAgain As long you are honest with yourself that is the main point. Read some Gurdjieff about the "sly man." Total honestly with others can sometimes be harmful but usually the truth is the way to go. You wouldn't tell the police office that "yes if fact you were speeding by 1 mph over the speed limit and may you please have that speeding ticket he owes you.". That would just not be helpful.

    @arcadesdude True, but telling the truth isn’t always about being helpful, is it?

    @WhoAmIAgain True but neither is self-sabotage or telling the truth without thinking about the consequences first. If you accept the consequences, then by all means. But there is a fine line between genius soothsayers and fools.

    Nowadays most people don't believe in someone who says the truth, that's why they are always falling in the hands of lier's. but for me saying that truth is tha best even if it is bitter .
