I was playing Forza Horizon 5 and the houses in the game cost millions to buy.

Does management not like people to have the idea of affordable housing in ANY shape or form ?

Mere game economy and engagement.

Housing is one of the most sought after rewards in videogames.

Therefore, they promote competitiveness, and by virtue of being expensive, exclusivity, making others spend time in game to get theirs, and ensuring you also spent more time in game to get yours.

Vanity items. Artificial achievents. Just some basic stretching of the game.
