I'm fiddeling around with progressive web apps. I made something and hosted it on a subdomain. Today I made a typo and found my app on an other domain. All my assets and files are copied there. He even uses my SSL certificate.

It's not that spectacular. The app is nothing "revolutionary". It's just the first time it happend to me.

Have you ever found your code on other websites ? How did you react ?

    @Huuugo Well it's only the client side that I "finished" atm. So thats publicly available. But upon further investigation I found that the website points to the IP address of my server. So nothing was actually stolen and I'm a moron...

    @cr78 Apparently the domain points to my server. So that would be a bad idea :p

    Why would someone else point their domain at your site without discussing with you first??? Or have I misunderstood something?

    @Jonnyforgotten That's exactly what's happening. Using Archive.org I found out that the domain wasn't used for quite some time. My server is hosted at DigitalOcean, so maybe they reused the IP address. That's the only reason I can think of.

    So... Just configure your server to serve slmething else on that domain... If you're using apache, just make a new virtual host and have fun... (Redirect all the traffic to nsa oder porn or something...)

    @pascalwacker yeah I was thinking of serving an affiliate webshop or something on the domain. The domain name is actually quite good, only the TLD would require me to learn Danish to use it to the fullest.
