We are on the same boat bro, although I have a visa problem which force them to reject me.
Basically, visas for my nationalitiy are banned in UAE, so everyone can renew their visa but can't change jobs and I have a student visa. -
f03n1x65038yIn the same boat as you too :( I got offered a job, did the technical test and the interview, thought it went well, but I got an email the next day saying nope.
Just gotta keep applying and you'll find the right job, this one job wouldn't have been development related (customer service) but paid so well! -
Mikaren318yDon't worry, I felt the same shitty feeling with my first rejection. Just means there's that perfect job out there waiting for you to find it. Couple of things that helped me:
1. Customise the resume for the job you're applying for - draw attention to things that only matter to them, mention only what is relevant!
2. Ask yourself what you're good at and apply for jobs that match that description. You'll feel more in your skin when talking/answering questions you're computable with. -
Learn to deal with rejection. Even if you're a perfect match for the position, it might be that you gave some negative vibe during the interview, or they found a genius that's willing to work for free, or their investors backed out of financing and they can't hire anyone, or they can't afford you, or ... or whatever else.
Just keep on moving forward, don't let a rejection turn you down. Always think that it's very likely that you'll get rejected, so that disappointment doesn't affect you.
A liitle upset..
Didn't get hired :(
