It might be because you are used to use some incompetent software, which made you develop this horrible illness. I would suggest as a cure linux based vim pills. Worked for me.

@anicka-burova don't know if this is a joke or not, but I got used to it since (if I remember correctly) my PowerPoint presentation crashed once.

For me its reached the point where I do it in auto saving editors too..... and I do it twice in rapid succession. It's like some twisted muscle memory that only aggravates me.

Worse is automatically pressing ctrl+d to duplicate line(adds bookmark) or ctrl+shift+c (opens console)
