Any one with autotrading experience? Is it worth it? How much money do you make? How much money did you put into it at the beginning? What are the hardware requirements? What software do you use? Is it advisable to use your Computer for normal things during the day and for trading durint off times? Any tips and tricks for newbies?

    Just adding my 2 cents...

    But from what i remember it's an outdated concept or rather people that are serious in doing it are rich companies with servers in the same building as the stock market's server, so they can buy/sell stock before anyone else

    @IwraStudios yah I heard about a company in wallstreet doing a million dollar investment just to be about 100m closer to the trading floor because latency is actually that important.

    @jobylie if the server is in wall street it doesn't matter where the server is placed. Every fiber optic cable is precisely the same length no matter how close or far you are to the floor.

    There needs to be an automatic delay on electronic trades.

    @tankerkiller125 i don't remember the exact circumstances, it might be that they moved a bit closer but were not actually in wall street. But the point stands, when you want to really make millions out of it you got to invest millions in infrastructure
