What's a CS piece of knowledge that has fascinated you a lot?

    When bomb-defuse maps were first added, you could plant the bomb anywhere instead of the two sites like it is now.

    That most CS courses are woefully lacking in social training and that for most team setups social skill is almost as important as having skill.

    I am a simple man - i find spawning as such pretty fascinating there are so much obscure edge cases around spawning, securing the spawn, communicating with the spawn. Enemy campers are often a problem too.

    It always fascinated me how simple it really is and how complicated we've made it. Mostly by implementing safeguards from our carelessness, stupidity, arrogance

    Floating point numbers (because they're such a simple idea yet so difficult to store and dangerous to use).
