This could be controversial, but I think I prefer my Legion laptop's shallower, slightly softer keys over my ThinkPad's deep, harder to press, noisier keys

    sSme people type softly and prefer easy to press keys. Others type violently and prefer more resistance. I belong to the latter. Interestingly, statistical evidence shows that neither group is substantially more prone to CTS.

    Cherry sells switches that are so heavy you can put most monitors on a 104 key keyboard without pressing down the keys.

    @electrineer I'm using a T480, is this one of the bad ones? I've never used the 7 row ones, which I bet must be pretty good but I'm fine with the chiclet design, and Lenovo's key shapes are still recognizable to the point where you can literally spot them by looking across the room

    @nururururu thinkpad keyboards were famous back when they were made by IBM. There was a near immediate change in quality once Lenovo bought the brand.

    @ALMST surface pro has the worst keyboard ever. Try a Lenovo C330 or a Thinkpad x270. Those are keyboards you can smash on!
