Have you ever worked on a project, for which you felt absolutely zero motivation, and every fiber in your body opposed any productive effort on it? What kind of project was that, and how did it end up?

Life and it ended up in a trailer park

I tried creating a order management system that integrates with Shopify and lets people create AirWay Bill numbers for any merchant's orders.

I gave up when I couldn't get API keys for courier providers to be able to integrate them into my app.

It still hurts, sometimes, when I look back on it.

    Weirdly, no. 🤔

But I will inherit a project in the near future that is like that.
It’s some internal legacy app which costs more to operate than it brings value to the few users that are still using it.
It will end up dead soon, hopefully.

yep... back then I was working at a nice agancy. everyhing was smooth. new clients, fun internal projects... until 1 of our clients ate our company. He had a fairly big site ( pure spaghetti w/o sauce ). I did few tasks there, but was doing my other tickets ( w/ higher prio and we had some freedom of arranging them ). So far so good. After a few months I go to my regullar summer vacation... and exactly then I was called to be informed that I'm 1 of the lucky 20 people to be laid off w/ reason : not doing much care of the new mega boss site tasks

@Lensflare how much would it costs if the users that still use it get migrated? Training and such

    My thesis project.

It's so bad that I told my professor that I quit the project, and informed the uni that I quit enrollment as a student, don't care with graduating. I was already working full time at that time.

It took student council involvement to convince me to resume the project.
